Well Hello There

So, this is my first blog post ever. I set this page up months ago with good intentions and grand ideas and it never went anywhere. You know how that goes. I'll blame it on being pregnant with my first and the ridiculous amount of nesting that occurred, preventing me from working on and posting any amazing projects. Well here I am, months later, with a 7 week old strapped to my chest in a baby Bjorn writing my first post. I have no intention of this being a blog about baby sewing. It just so happens that the 2 projects I am currently working on are a Christmas quilt and a baby blanket. As you can see my timing is way off, the baby is here and Christmas is nowhere in sight. That being said, here goes nothing.

I picked up these vintage days of the week embroidery quilt squares at an antique store in Lincoln, Nebraska. Monday and Tuesday were finished but the rest were not. It was a great project to work on being fat as a whale pregnant and not wanting to move off the couch. I had to fill in (blue) some embroidery lines that wore off over the years.

All of the days of the week squares are finished and I am working on drafting up a bear paw quilt block to round out the number of squares in the quilt. I have not settled on the final design yet but I will keep you posted on the progress.

Thanks for stopping by. I hope you come back again.
